History
PeaceB2You began to evolve in 1994 when several of us (idle
retirees) continued to talk shop like we were still working.
Realizing that employment was a thing of the past, a few of us
decided to apply knowledge and skills gained over in 30+ years of
labor to social activity.
The first attempt was called MOCALSystems which enlisted
ourselves and other volunteers to provide computer consulting to our
churches and friends.
Our first web page was on a private internet service provider
under a personal account. When this ISP folded without notice
another ISP was used which soon did the same.
MOCALSystems went through several ISPs before we decided in 1999
to purchase a domain and buy reliable web hosting. At this
time PeaceB2You entered the cyberworld.
At first it was mostly family and friend news and articles
concerning peace, justice, poverty and hunger with one or two pages
devoted to computer consulting. We were also active in
fund-source location for church and parochial schools. This
continued until September 2002 when we were overwhelmed with web
site creation and funding requests. The family/friends news
was moved to a new site.
Because of lack of volunteers and energy we were forced to cut
back on fund raising and social articles but hope to reinstate the
articles in the future. Some of the past articles are in our
Archive.

Mission and Goals
Since most of the money we get is from individuals and
organizations for specific purposes (a church or school), that is
where the energy is spent.
Applications for site creation are still accepted but
organizations are asked to fund themselves if possible.
We still help churches, schools and non-governmental
social-service agencies with office automation and other computer-related
problems and plan to continue.

How is this financed?
PeaceB2You web site is personally funded. Client web
hosting and domain names, hardware/software, travel to client
locations are paid for with designated contributions, memorials and
guilt trips I put people through.
